From Monday to Friday, Café Stein serves a lunch menu from 11 am: soup and main course, newly composed every week, while stocks last. Alongside it, the full menu with 189 items is available at lunchtime. The café is at Schottentor, five minutes on foot from the NIG and the Juridicum, seven from the main building of the University of Vienna.

When is the lunch menu served?
Monday to Friday from 11 am, while stocks last. There is no lunch menu at weekends or on public holidays; instead there is breakfast until 4 pm and the full menu.
What does the lunch menu include?
A soup and a main course. The main courses change every week; the week overview on this page shows for each dish whether it is vegetarian or vegan and which allergens it contains.
How much is the lunch menu?
The price is shown with each day's menu in the overview above once the week has been entered, and on the board in the café.
Do I need to book for lunch?
No. For groups of 9 or more we ask for a short request so the table is ready.
Is the regular menu available at lunchtime?
Yes, the full menu with 189 items is available all day. Hot food is served Monday to Saturday 8 am to 11 pm, Sunday and public holidays 9 am to 10 pm.
How far is it from the university?
Five minutes on foot from the NIG and the Juridicum, seven from the main building on Universitätsring. The café is right next to the U2 station Schottentor.
