Breakfast at Café Stein: until 11.30 on weekdays, until 4 pm at weekends
Café Stein serves breakfast Monday to Friday 8 am to 11.30 am, Saturday 8 am to 4 pm, Sunday and public holidays 9 am to 4 pm. On the menu: small and large Viennese breakfast, eggs Benedict and eggs Florentine, omelettes, French toast, porridge and bowls, plus avocado toast and smoked salmon on sourdough. The eggs are organic, the sourdough comes from the Schmidl bakery in the Wachau valley, the ham from Thum in Vienna. All of it at Schottentor, opposite the Votivkirche, seven minutes on foot from the University of Vienna.

Before your lecture
The main building of the University of Vienna is seven minutes away on foot, the NIG and the Juridicum five. On weekdays the house opens at 8 am, breakfast is served until 11.30, free Wi-Fi all day.
On Sundays
On Sundays and public holidays breakfast is served from 9 am to 4 pm. From March to November also on the terrace beneath the trees of Währinger Straße, partly covered, with a view of the towers of the Votivkirche.
What a Viennese breakfast is
Bread, butter, jam, a soft-boiled egg and a coffee, in Vienna usually a Melange. Here: a bread roll, a soft-boiled organic egg, organic butter and jam. The large version adds sourdough, ham, organic Gouda and two fried eggs.
A table for breakfast
Up to 8 people can reserve by phone, including Saturdays and Sundays. From 9 people, send us a short request; we usually confirm within one working day.
