Café Stein is a Viennese coffee house opposite the Votivkirche, at Währinger Straße 6-8 in Vienna's 9th district since 1985. Three floors with 200 seats, a terrace with another 200, breakfast into the afternoon, a weekday lunch menu and a menu of 189 items. Downstairs, Stein's Diners hosts private events for up to 100 guests.

1985–2025
40 years of Café Stein
Opened by Ossi Schellmann in 1985 in a former launderette and a fixture at Schottentor ever since: three floors, 200 seats inside, 200 on the terrace. Officially forty years old since 2025.

- 1987: Stein's Diner; Marcel Gega has run the house since 2003
- 2025: fortieth anniversary party with more than 250 guests
